Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

There will be no VITA on February 17 and March 30.
The last day of VITA is April 13th.
Charlie Dudney and his dedicated volunteers return for another year of VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance). The program runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10a-1p, thru April 15th. To have no-charge assistance with your taxes, You will need:
1. A Photo I.D. (Joint returns require photo I.D.s for both taxpayers.)
2. All relevant tax documents: wage and earnings statements (form W-2 from employers and form 1099-MISC from clients); interest, dividend, capital gains, pension, IRA and social security statements; a list of items that might be considered for itemized deductions, support for other income and credits and a copy of last year’s tax return.
3. Unless Farragut VITA filed your return last year, Social Security cards (or SS earnings statements) are needed for everyone named on the return.
NOTICE: Tax preparation is on a first come, first served basis. A sign-in sheet will be made available once VITA opens. Doors open at approximately 9:45 a.m.
